The Turgo Turbine
The Turgo wheel ( Turbine ) is a "Half Pelton" That is in the Turgo, the water enters on one side, turns through 145 degees and exits on the opposite side. They require about the same high heads as do the Peltons and they sometimes employ multi jets to allow them to accomidate more water flow. They are about the same efficiency as a pelton ( 90% )
